The basic progression of workouts is:
Stabilization program:
This will build balance and graceful control of motion. Use only the intensity necessary to maintain graceful control. The object is balance and excellent form.
Then add power while maintaining graceful form. Use only the intensity necessary to maintain graceful control. The object is powerful motion while maintaining control.
Then train for the sports specific task. All sports specific activity should be done with form of motion as the most critical component.
Then train the sports specific activity with excellent form for endurance in that task.
Endurance:
This will build an excellent cardio anaerobic system. It tasks all of the muscle groups of the body and consumes high levels of calories. When done with STAR you will learn to maintain proper graceful form when fatigued. An excellent injury prevention workout for the power endurance athlete.
