CURRENT & PROPOSED
RESEARCH IN PROGRESS
A comparison of musculoskeletal changes in response to chronic resistive exercise done with two different forms of non-gravity dependent devices in ambulatory and unloaded subjects. Findings from this study will be relevant to the health of astronauts in micro gravity environments.
Exercise data reproducibility from the instrumentation of inertia-based resistive exercise (YoYo Technologies, Stockholm Sweden; Impulse Training System, Newnan Georgia; Inertial Kinetic Exercise LLC, Oconomowoc Wisconsin; Exerbotic Corporation, Tulsa Oklahona) devices.
A comparison of electromyography changes in muscle groups in response to tonic vs. phasic resistive exercise done with Inertial Exercise. Simultaneous data collection of 3 EMG sites, electro goniometry, accelerometry, and absolute force. Both techniques tested in low intensity vs. high intensity of the biceps in a restricted curl motion. |
